LINDA CARMONA | violin

Linda Carmona began her violin studies at the age of eight. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance at Drake University, where she studied with Dr. Wilfred Biel, and continued her studies with Shirley Givens at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, where she earned a Graduate Performance Diploma. Linda has performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra under the direction of David Zinman, in numerous international music festivals, including the Internationales Orchester-Institut Attergau (Austria), and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, conducted by world renowned conductors including Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Christoph Eschenbach, Robert Spano, Pierre Boulez, and Sir Georg Solti. In Savannah, Georgia, Linda performed regularly with the Savannah Symphony and served as the organization’s Music Librarian; she performed for eight years with the Atlanta Opera and has performed with the Atlanta Symphony, Alabama Symphony, and the Atlanta Ballet. Most recently, Linda has been performing with the Temple Symphony and the Waco Symphony orchestras in Texas. As a chamber musician, Linda has given recitals in New York, Colorado, Georgia, and Nebraska. Linda is returning to the ranks of Symphoria where she previously was a tenured violinist from 2014 to 2015 before moving to Texas. Linda is married to Christopher Rozmarin, a Command Sergeant Major is the US Army.
