Brandon Gianetto, a native of the Syracuse region, is a violist, orchestral musician, and teacher who currently resides in New York. A graduate of The Boston conservatory (B.M.), SUNY Purchase (M.M.) and Manhattan School of Music (P.S. certificate), Brandon’s past teachers include Patricia McCarty, Ira Weller, and Karen Dreyfus.

A lifelong lover of orchestral music, Brandon frequently performs with the Binghamton Philharmonic, Syracuse Symphoria, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, and the Symphony of Westchester, and has toured with orchestras in Italy and China. For the last three summers, Mr. Gianetto has held a fellowship with the Eastern Music Festival, performing with the Eastern Festival Orchestra under the baton of Gerard Schwartz. Brandon is also very active as a teacher, holding faculty positions with the Noel pointer Foundation and the Brooklyn Music School.

When not playing, Brandon enjoys hiking, animals, and spending time with his friends and family. Brandon is delighted to be joining Symphoria’s viola section for the 2019-2020 season.
