Dr. Jeeyoung Park is a promising violinist from South Korea. She studied violin at Sunhwa Arts middle & high school and Sookmyung Women’s University, where she was a concertmaster of the university orchestra, performed at Sydney Opera House, and Seoul art center. Dr. Park continued her studies as an exchange student at the Royal Academy of Music in London and graduated at the top of her class. She acquired Master’s and Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A) degrees at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati with full covered tuition (Graduate Intensive Award). Her principal teachers have included Won-bin Yim, Diana Cummings and Siyeon Ryu, and Ariel quartet and James Tocco for Chamber Music. She has won prizes in numerous competitions such as the Tuesday Musical Scholarship Competition, the University of Hanyang Music concours, and Music Journal concours. She has performed as a soloist with CCM Wind and Concert orchestra, Sookmyung Philharmonic orchestra, and Inchon-Gyeyang Orchestra. She was a fellow violinist in Tanglewood Music Festival in 2019. Also, she won Columbus Symphony Orchestra Associate member audition in 2019. Jeeyoung is particularly fond of playing orchestra and chamber works. She plans to dedicate her efforts to studying violin pedagogy in hopes of making a career as an educator.
