Sara Silva began her violin studies in Colombia. As an undergraduate, she studied at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and the Frederic Chopin Conservatory in Paris, France. After her 6 years tenure with the National Symphony of Colombia, she came to Central NY in 2004 for her master degree.
She is a member of Symphoria (the successor organization of the Syracuse Symphony), she has performed with other organizations such as the Binghamton Tri-Cities Opera, Utica Symphony, the Binghamton Philharmonic, the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of Northern NY, and the Elmira, NY, Orchestra of the Southern Finger lakes. She performs with the Alzo Symphony Orchestra in NY City, The Distinguished Concert International Of NY, The Hudson Valley Philharmonic and the Chelsea Symphony Orchestra.
