Joanne Shenandoah is featured performing her epic composition SkyWoman.   Ms. Shenandoah, a Grammy Award winning storyteller, songwriter and entertainer, honors her traditions and her voice.  She is the daughter of an Onondaga chief and an Oneida clan mother, deeply rooted in her heritage and the arts. "SkyWoman" is a compilation of creation myths that seek to explain how life came to be on a place the Iroquois call Turtle Island.

Admission to this performance is free with fair ticket.   Friday August 31st is Six Nations Day at the Great New York State Fair.
