Symphoria celebrates the most wonderful time of year with this performance featuring guest vocalist Julia Goodwin and Symphoria Principal Pops Conductor Sean O'Loughlin.

Artist Information:

Julia Goodwin

Goodwin is a singer/songwriter from central New York. She was the winner of Michael Feinstein’s 2013 Great American Songbook High School Vocal Competition. She served as the Junior Ambassador for the Great American Songbook performing nationally with five-time Grammy nominee, two-time Emmy nominee and multi-platinum recording artist Michael Feinstein. Notable performances were at The Rainbow Room, Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The John F. Kennedy Center, Birdland, the LA Arboretum with the Pasadena Pops Symphony, the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts Robert S. Whitney Hall with the Louisville Orchestra, the Eastman Theatre with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Wynn in Las Vegas. Julia also performed at the 2014 Great American Songbook Hall of Fame Inaugural Induction Gala honoring Johnny Mathis, Nat King Cole, Linda Ronstadt and Shirley Jones at the Palladium in Indiana.

Julia was selected to perform at the New World Center in Miami, Florida, as a Finalist winner in the 2014 National YoungArts Foundation Competition for Vocal Pop. She was also recognized in the 2014 National YoungArts Vocal Jazz discipline.


Ms. Goodwin has been invited to join an A-list of multiple award-winning singers from the worlds of Jazz, Broadway, Cabaret and Pop which include; Christine Ebersole, Freddy Cole, Elaine Paige, Dan Brubeck, Darren Criss, Marilyn Maye, Aaron Tveit, Jake Miller, Andy Grammer, Jessica Sanchez, and Benny Mardones. Julia performed at the 2014 M&T Jazz Fest, opening for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Trombone Shorty, and the 2016 M&T Jazz Fest opening for Michael McDonald.

Julia appeared on NBC's "America's Got Talent" performing at Radio City Music Hall. She appeared on PBS, performing at the Rainbow Room for The Michael Feinstein New Year's Eve special. Julia has also been featured on ABC's "Inside Edition," and ABC's broadcast special "Extraordinary".

At age nine, she began singing the National Anthem in her hometown for Syracuse University sporting events, and AHL hockey games. Julia made her NFL debut singing the National Anthem at Lucas Oil Stadium for the Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans football game. Most recently, she was invited to perform at the Edward Jones Dome for the St. Louis Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals. Her current album titled “Feeling Good" features Ms. Goodwin performing "unplugged" versions of some over her favorite American Songbook standards.
