2017 Summer Concert Series


Symphoria's FREE Summer Concert Series returns in this summer, with outdoor performances in parks throughout Central New York! We're excited to present unique concerts with summertime programs that will inspire and engage concertgoers of all ages. Come join us as we celebrate another wonderful summer in CNY!

06.17.17 - Chittenango Landing Boat Museum

2pm | Chittenango, NY

Symphoria's String Quartet presents a family friendly program as part of the Erie Canal Bicentennial Bash at Chittenango Landing Boat Museum.  Arrive at 2pm to be part of an overhead drone photo.  Music will begin at 2:15pm.

07.03.17 - Emerson Park

8pm | AUBURN, NY
This patriotic celebration includes fireworks at the conclusion of the performance.

Principal pops conductor Sean O'Loughlin leads Symphoria in this exciting celebration of Independence Day at Lakeview Amphitheater.  The program includes music from Disney movies, Star Wars, and Pirates of the Caribbean.  The program also pays tribute to the national holiday with many patriotic staples, such as Morton Gould’s American Salute, John Williams' Hymn to the Fallen, Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, the Armed Forces Salute and more.  Symphoria is joined by the Syracuse Pops Chorus, under the direction of Lou Lemos for this performance.  A spectacular fireworks display follows the concert.

Tickets are $10, and kids 18 years and younger are FREE OF CHARGE.

07.06.17 - Village Green

7:30pm | HAMILTON, NY

Symphoria returns to Hamilton for a performance featuring Glinka’s energetic Overture to Ruslan and Ludmilla, selections from Bizet’s seductive Carmen Suites, and Franz Strauss’ stately Emperor Waltzes.   The second half of the program includes music from the Sound of Music, Gone with the Wind, and music of John Williams.

07.07.17 - Willis Carrier Recreation Park

8pm | DEWITT, NY

NOTE: Due to the possibility of inclement weather, this performance is being moved to Shoppingtown Mall in front of the Sears store.   Patrons should park in the parking garage and enter through Entrance 6.   The Symphoria Brass Section will return to Willis Carrier Recreation Park on July 21st, and fireworks will follow that performance.

This patriotic celebration includes fireworks at the conclusion of the performance.  Symphoria is joined by the Syracuse Pops Chorus for this performance.

07.08.17 - Beard Park


Syracuse Pops Chorus joins Symphoria for this performance in picturesque Beard Park in the Village of Fayetteville.   Come early, bring a picnic, and enjoy an evening of beautiful music under the stars.

07.12.17 - Carol Watson Greenhouse

The Summer Soirée at Carol Watson Greenhouse is a free event, with food and beverage available for purchase.   In addition, a silent art auction will be held in the greenhouse. All proceeds from the auction as well as a percentage of food and beverage sales will be donated directly to Symphoria.   Carol Watson Greenhouse also donates 10% of retail sales during the event to Symphoria.

The Symphoria Woodwind Quintet presents an informal performance at 8PM.

07.14.17 - Erie Canal Heritage Park

Wander historic Lock 52 and get a glimpse into authentic life on the Erie Canal in the mid-19th to early 20th centuries, while enjoying short performances by the Symphoria Brass Quintet.   Make your way through the Lock complex to the historic Erie House 1895 tavern, where the Symphoria String Quartet will also offer short performances.   The event runs from 5-7pm.

07.15.17 - Armory Square


Symphoria returns to Armory Square with a full orchestra performance, as part of the Armory Square Candlelight Series. This festive and fun performance features energetic classics and pops favorites.

07.16.17 - Fort Ontario

7:30pm | Oswego, NY

Symphoria celebrates Oswego with this performance of patriotic favorites and other works in honor of the Fort Ontario Emergency Refugee Center, also known as “Safe Haven.”   The program includes a performance of a new work entitled Safe Haven, written by local music educator and composer William Palange.

07.21.17 - Willis Carrier Recreation Park

8pm | DEWITT, NY

This patriotic celebration features the Symphoria Brass and Percussion sections, and includes fireworks at the conclusion of the performance.

07.27.17 - Austin Park Pavillion


This family friendly performance in Skaneateles is an annual tradition, with a diverse program ranging from well known classical works to music of the movies and more.  Bring your lawn chair! Limited seating will be available for $5

07.28.17 - Clinton Square


Symphoria performs with Joe Magnarelli, as part of the Northeast Wine and Jazz Festival.

07.29.17 - Fort Stanwix

8pm | ROME, NY
Symphoria returns to Rome for Honor America Days, and a celebration of America on the grounds of historic Fort Stanwix.   This performance includes fireworks at the conclusion of the performance.  This performance also features the Syracuse Pops Chorus

08.12.17 - Camillus Erie Canal Park

8pm | Camillus, NY

Symphoria's String Quartet and Brass Quintet perform as part of Towpath Day at the aqueduct.   This performance includes fireworks at the conclusion of the performance.

*The concert at Lakeview Amphitheater will be $10 for a general admission ticket, with free admission for children under 18 years old. One adult ticket is required to be purchased for every two youth tickets.
